Beckmar's analytical staff routinely performs microbiological tests as well as organic and inorganic chemistry on water supplies. The laboratory's services include sample collection and analyses for coliforms, metals, TTHMs, VOC's and nuisance organism identification. Beckmar personnel also perform wastewater NPDES sampling and analyses, DMR's (Discharge Monitoring Reports) and pretreatment analyses for industry. The laboratory is actively involved in evaluations of sludges, solid wastes (RCRA), TCLP and leachates. Beckmar Laboratory is one of a few Kentucky-based laboratories offering biomonitoring and toxicity studies using in-house reared fish (Pimephales sp), water fleas (Ceriodaphnia sp) and algae. TRE's (Toxicity Reduction Evaluations) and TIE's (Toxicity Identification Evaluations) are also offered.
